I enjoy Pokemon Showdown but have never played a Pokemon game on console, is there something wrong with me?

I enjoy Pokemon Go, hardmode romhacks and Pokemon RMXP fangames.

If you play the base games emulated (even as romhacks) you've technically played the real thing, just tweaked. Trust me, you ain't missing out on much
