I want it to change up the damn formula already. No more "small town at the bottom of the map, then get one of three starters, then have rival, then beat couple of gyms, then get bike, then come to massive city that sells vitamins, then meet evil team, then do a few more gyms, then fight evil team, then catch box legendary, then do a couple more gyms, then elite 4"

It's even more ironic because Masuda's always saying how he wants to surprise people by not doing the game they expect (eg. no Grey/Z versions)

judging from the old gen pokemon we've seen in the trailers so far, and with the huge success of GO, i'm worried to shit that the game is going to take the genwun pandering from XY and turn it up to 11

This, as well as the casual pandering. XY had so many shoehorned elements that made the game feel so soulless. What I fear the most is that they continue that trend.
