How strong are Frontier Brains supposed to be in canon? Both the Hoenn and Sinnoh ones.Why are there literally no good stitches of this shot in the anime?

I don't know much about the anime ones. In the games, I think they're supposed to be on par with the Elite Four or at the very least, the 8th gym leader.
In the anime, they're supposed to be slightly stronger than gym leaders, They use much more skill when they battle.

Interestingly, in Emerald I think, Drake seems to dismiss them by saying the Elite 4 were a more worthy challenge.
