Did this gen really need TWO pikaclones? At least Plusle and Minun looked like a proper pair, this time around we've got a hedgehog and a literal copy-paste completely non-suspicious copy of Pikachu. They're truly running out of ideas.

What exactly are the rules to a pika-clone? Some people consider Pichu a Pika-clone but not Marill and others consider the exact opposite to be the case.
My definition is simply that it's supposed to evoke similarities to Pikachu, but it isn't actually Pikachu.
