It may one day turn out to be a decent game, once trading, extra mons and all that get added. But it's just naive to think this is anything but a fad. Mobile game apps have a pretty short half-life, by the time the new features are implemented (late 2016/early 2017), most people will have lost interest.

Friendly reminder that it's a mobile game that's only just been released only spreading due to word of mouth. Another reminder that all mobile games share the same fate. The majority of Go players are not dedicated enough to give a shit and complaints about glitches, crashing and security concerns are all over. Look at the game's score on the shop.
The game is a cash in designed to take advantage of microtransactions and nostalgia. I wouldn't expect much out of it, especially considering it was released as a glitchy fuckery.
