The bear shares the same concept with the ghost. They're both a riff on cutesy mascots but have a more insidious nature. The bear is even the same size as a guy in a mascot costume. The problem is that can't be immediately picked up on in the pokemon artstyle while the pikaghost's concept is easily understood.

Actually you know what, I think Gen 7 mons look the most like Gen 1 than any gen in years, which makes sense because they said they wanted to get back to simplicity.
Their might not be any evo's this fucking lazy (yet), but I feel a similar energy coming off Alola's mons (barring one or two) as I do these, it's nice.

Voltorb has a reason to be bland. It's based off of a bland pokeball. Red panda's aren't bland, and there's no reason for it to not have different colour fur for it's stomach instead of it's front just being all black
