Been playing two days but I work 9-5 and I'm relying on wifi hotspots until my mobile data replenishes on 22nd
Does it record my distance if the apps open but I'm not connected to the Internet?

Update: tried at lunch, it recorded the distance from when I left work wifi when I connected to my home network
I've played for three days. Gonna go out on a run now.
I've run out of new Pokemon in my neighborhood. There was a random Porygon that despawned before I could find it, but that was it. Of the 7 (quite populated) cities I've scoured, it's the same shit now.
