I'm really, really sorry for another Pokemon Go thread, but does anybody know of where I can see a list of all of the pokemon by their shadows? I'm 26 years old, grew up with pokemon and I am 100% certain that something I saw in the nearby section was something I'd never seen before, or at least one I know in a very strange angle. It almost looked like a crobat, except not. It gave me a rush of excitement like I was 10 again and discovering something new and unknown, even though I know it's likely just one I know at a weird angle. Anyways, I just want to know what it was.

The sprites in the game are different then the ones I found online, but I greyed them all for you. Should be enough to recognize it, unless it's something like magicarp which is flopped on it's side in the game.

I realized this 5 minutes after I made the thread and did some googling, but you're absolutely right. It was goldeen, and I didn't even notice it in my op picture. Did you have this sensation too, or am I more retarded than I thought I was?

I saw a pokemon last night that looked an awful lot like Chikorita.
Had flat bottom feet, squat body, and a big thing coming out of the head that looked a lot like chikorita's leaf.
I walked probably a good 20 blocks and it stayed at 3 steps no matter where I went, never found it.
I shoulda screencapped it, and I don't expect you to believe me, but whatever I saw, it definitly didn't look like anything on that list. Hmm.

Ya, there are a few confusing ones, like the fearow or sometimes (but short lived) gastly one looking like moltres. I think the chikorita shadow look alike is the nidoran M but I can't recall. I remember thinking the same thing as you though when I saw that shadow.

I got a goldeen, I hatched one from an egg on my first day, so it was already identified.
I also had Eevee identified, so its not that.
Also definitly wasn't pikachu, no tail.
It had two flat feet and a pointy thing coming off the top of the head. I spent thirty mins trying to find it and I have that shadow burnt into my head.
I even stopped and googled chikorita on my phone and I was like "This really does look like a chikorita... but only gen 1 is out yet, wtf is this thing?"
But by this point it was 4 in the morning and the only remaining direction to go would've involved going through some pretty sketchy ass neighbourhoods, not worth getting shanked over...
But Ill be going back during daytime at some point, see if I can find it again.

Looked kinda like this. Two flat stubby things on bottom, a sharp thing poking out the top left, and a bump on the right.
The feet were definitely not bumpy like nidorino's (girl)
