As far as the TCG goes, Greninja. Kingdra/Greninja was my first non-shit deck.
In the VGC, Ralts. Every time I play RSE or ORAS, I always catch a Ralts - even if I'm doing a Nuzlocke run. I can't play through Hoenn without it.

I never realized how much I loved Golem until Gen 5 cheated me out of catching my traditional Geodude. Gigalith, more like Gigashit. And Krookodile was pretty cool, but it just wasn't Golem.
I always hate when Pokemon have 4x type weaknesses, but it's worth it for Golem. He was the star of my battle against Cynthia, and I lost him. Thankfully Gen 6 rectified that shit.
