So I had an idea for a battle mode in where as opposed to building your teams competitively as usual, you build them like classes in a Role-Playing Game. As an example,

Cleric (Gardevoir) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Telepathy
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Heal Pulse
- Heal Bell
- Moonblast
- Light Screen

say you wanted a Cleric. So you'd build it like a cleric would play. Would like to clarify this is a highdea but I feel could be fun

i think i get what youre saying, have a fighter, cleric, wizard, thief, archer, other fighter and in a multi-battle format.
Fighter 1: Bulky phys attacker
>Azumaril, Heracross,
Cleric: Sets up walls and heals, maybe cures status
>Armoatise, Audino, Clefable
Wizard: Special Sweeper
>Volcarona, Alakazam, Gardevoir
Thief: Fake out, knock off, speedster

Archer: Substitute user or can bypass substitute, this one is a stretch
Fighter 2: wide guarding wall,
