So I posted this in the general in /vg/, and I wonder if anyone else has been able to confirm similar things to help others near us. This is for people in the DMV.
Ok so DMV aninz in the 10-13 range, here are the spots I'm 100% sure on for certain pokes

I initially chose Bulbasaur on my PTC account, but then I abandoned that account because it wouldn't work. My google account chose Pikachu because I thought gyms would be ripe with Pidgey lines, but didn't account for my Pikachu being 13CP since I can't find any more. But I have an Ivysaur on that account anyway, so it all worked out.

This "moving leaves" patches are really concerning me. The thing is right around my neighborhood I have a massive park that's always full of tons of those rustling leaves but the thing is the park itself is a private golf course membership shit, so you can't just bike ride in it, so I always have to skirt around the edges on the sidewalk, I have no idea if I have to be ON the leaves or just close to them. if I'm not mistaken CP caps are not just based on luck but also on breeds. I would assume a pseudo-legendary like Dragonite and the Pokemon that has a ridiculous amount of candies required, to have the highest breed cap of CP. Plus Snorlax seems ridiculous from my own playing and Chansey could be crazy too.

Either Chansey or Snorlax. Both have huge HP. Snorlax has the strongest Special Move, Hyper Beam but Chansey's standard moves are stronger than Snorlax's.

Being on the leaves has been confirmed to do absolutely nothing in a lot of cases and a lot of testing with them points to placebo effect/coincidence when they do work.
They might just be hints that "there are X number spawn locations within 150 feet", which is what my interpretation is.

Spawn tips, from the previous thread:
Certain areas have certain spawn architecture. Confirmed so far: urban areas have common pet animals like eevee, growlithe, ekans and jigglypuff. Water areas have water pokemon. Parks/rec have abondance of grass and bug types.
If you are standing in shaky grass the rate of rare spawns seems to go up.
In addition to this, whatever location you start your game at gets registered as your "home", and all the common types that spawn here are: pidgy, rattata, golbat in addition to whatever above type your in.
Fire, electric, ghost, Ice, psychic, (outside psyduck and bug/psychic types) and the high end normal seems to be just rare spawns.
It's possible that fire types actually spawn at the top of volcanoes (one person's experiance).
It's possible that drowzee/psychic types spawn at churches.
Sometimes a single type of Pokemon may become abundant in a certain area; if you caught a clefairy at x, stay at x to grind it.

Pokestops are based on Niantic's Ingress portals. So to make more stops, travel back in time 2 years to when Niantic was taking suggestions for portal locations and submit yours.

Except nobody can prove grass does anything and if you stand in one spot, Pokemon don't spawn. You have to specifically locate Pokemon. They stay in the same spot until the spawns refresh (which is how people lose track of Pokemon they were looking for)

That sounds like complete conjecture. Especially considering Pokemon spawns can be viewed by all nearby users, and a ton of users report 0 Pokemon nearby their houses ever, so a "home" definitely doesn't exist. Otherwise Japan wouldn't be a barren wasteland for everyone who downloaded the app.
Fire is rare because there are like 4 fire type Pokemon in Kanto total. There's 1 total ghost type. There's a couple ice types, but Lapras is super rare and they're all hard to notice since they're mostly water/ice. People keep complaining about Drowzee spawns.

Get the circle to like 1/3 of it's original size
throw the pokeball but undershoot it so you're actually hitting the chest of the pokemon.
Like the game has weirdly real physics so if the pokemon is closer aim under if it's farther closer to the pokemon.

Game runs it's own clock so if you think you just saw it appear it could have been there for hours but your phone just registered it and you caught it on the cycle.
Theres probably a pattern to the times. Would be cool to know when to avoid ghosts, like it's 6pm and they all despawn at that time.

Ive had some pokemon vanish and appear again many times. I'm guessing that more common pokemon spawn in nearer as well and push it out of the radar. So sometimes if it vanishes it isnt actually gone, but instead hidden behind shitmons.

if you look at the half circle behind the pokemon, thats the CP cap for your level. using power ups fills that circle and gives you more CP. when you evolve, they keep the same percentage of their CP cap
so my geodude was at 366 CP with a cap of 380 or so. when he evolved, he had 1080/1150-1200
if i started with a geodude with 190/380, when he becomes golem he would only have a CP of 600 and it would take a ton of power ups to max him out
so i get all the candies i need to evolve something to its final form then look for the base evolution with maxed CP

all the gyms are Blue, and unless I take a gym back from yellow who gets it in the middle of the night, I can't stick a 'mon in, and I'm not going to sit there and train for 30 min. wasting all my potions to train / get one of mine in.
