What does CP do?
Do all Pokémon have the same pontecial or there's stronger ones?

Whatever it is you should make sure not to talk to anyone about it, especially a cop.
CP = combat power
The higher the CP the stronger the pokemon
Every pokemon has different potential. For example if you caught a 10 CP clarify, it's max potential (rough guess) would be like 200.
But when you are higher level you find stronger pokemon. I have a clarify with CP of like 223, which if i had to guess, i could upgrade it to like 400 to hit its max potential.

Yes but does it do anything, besides giving a Pokémon higher stats? Can we fight gyms that have a higher CP Pokémon than yours? Is this itself a stat on it's own?
