Juan was a bitch to fight in Emerald with his cheap Double Teaming Kingdra, so I went all the way up to Mt. Pillar to catch and raise this motherfucka.
He wrecks almost everything in battle for me, which gives me a solid edge against a noticeable difficulty curve. While tough to catch, the reward for doing so is high.

When I got into the newer gens (2-4), Riolu, which has been replaced by Lucario when I got back into Pokemon when B/W was released. Not my favorite anymore, but still holds a special place in my heart.
Don't remember who was my favourite in gen1. Probabily mewtwo or scyther. Gen2 came out and typhlosion, furret and lugia took the spot. Now they're just too many, I just can't pick one.

I haven't played any Pokémon game until I got 12 on 2008 because I used to hate RPGs.
It became my favorite Pokémon while a kid because on all Pokémon related merchandise my parents bought to me Bulbasaur was the most common, also because while it wasn't as strong as Ash's Charizard it at least could win battles for its own unlike Pikachu. And that it used its vines like hands.

I loved Vaporeon as a kid because I have always been obsessed with water and mermaids. I realize now that's it's too bulky a design for my taste (the head has too much going on with all those fins and the collar) but it's not terrible. I realize now it's the worst Gen 1 Eeveelution. Milotic is my favorite Pokemon now and has been since its introduction.
