Actually I was just thinking about this. They should release Gen 7 mons for Go first to coincide with release. You know before gen 2.
That'd probably be a bad idea since new mons kind of are one of the selling points for Sun & Moon. Maybe if it's just some of the mons.
It'd actually be pretty cool if you saw an unfamiliar silhouette in the game and 'discovered' a new mon yourself.

but mostly I'd just be annoyed that pokemon go got any more attention, its going to be a failure ultimately because none of its current player base is buying the shit most actual pokemon players won't either only a few obsessive people will but it'll lose them once hype dies down
