But you dont... I just put my phone on minimum brightness and open up Go. Then put it in my pocket until it vibrates and if im in an aea with poke stops I put in my earbuds so I can hear when im going past one. On my phone for maybe 10% of my walks, just added more excitement to the journeys.
Now, whenever I visit a local park and Lake, not only am I doing it for the scenery, I am also wondering what pokemon could pop up in the new enviroment.

i feel like there is nothing really rewarding about the game. you catch pokemon and sometimes you make your pokemon's numbers go up. if you're lucky and got a good gym placement near you you might be able to be a gym leader, which means you can make your numbers go up even more. there's no story or even really a social aspect to the game. If there was PVP or a way to trade it would be better, but right now this game sucks
