I just got back from a 30 minute chase of a Snorlax. We were able to get it to two steps, but after a while it went back to three. We changed direction, and it dropped to two. We idled a bit, it went to three. Some people were able to catch it and pointed us to the exact location. When we got there, it was still "nearby" but not in the same spot.

I just got the most annoying glitch. I was on top of a gym, and I swept the dude (it was a Rhyhorn and a Machoke defending) but I out CP'd the shit out of those Instict fags.
The Machoke stayed at 1 HP and killed three of my mons. I didn't take the gym. I tried going out of it's radius twice and both times I couldn't get him below 1 HP. Is this a Machoke thing or a legit bug?

There is literally no reason to keep useless mons. You have to cash them in for the candies.
You can't max out the possibilities of your pokemon without a good surplus of candy and dust, and your storage space is limited anyway.

I do a combination of the three.
If I don't have the pokemon, I keep it. If it's higher cp than the one I have, I keep it and transfer the old one.
If I haven't fully evolved a line yet, I'll save candies until I do. Then, whenever I hit enough candies to evolve a basic pokemon, I'll evolve them (unless it's something rare that I need the candies for like Pinsir). I usually transfer the newly-evolved pokemon so I can get a candy back.
