Honestly considering finding a used copy of Diamond and Pearl and getting it just for Spritomb, even though Platinum is vastly better than DP.

1- get an R4 Flashcard
2- get a NDS/DS Lite because 3DS constantly updates
3- download D/P/Pt and use Save State editors to make that game to have the Pokemon you want (also created Pokemon with 31 IVs, full EV'D)
4- connect your Platinum version with any of the downloaded games
5- Ta-DA! Offline game with all the starters and Spiritomb
