the video misses a lot of key evidence in the franchise canon itself to tie back to the religious symbolism, but that being said, symbolism alone cant prove shit other than a design theme. I think at most the designers/writers are trying to subtly insert a deep storyline to the pokemon universe since originally, the series was meant to end back at GSC, but was far too successful. I bet they think, correctly even, that if they implement a more meaningful lore, it'll enrich the audience experience, so they're combining elements from the lore they've established borrowing from for the legendaries to broaden the plot's horizons, and I'm all for that
