In the beta you'd find Pokemon with 1-800cp and my pigeot was cp 1400ish so it's kind of funny to see these new scaled down CP levels.

Do moves matter when battling?
Anyway, my Pidgeotto has a steel move... I guess it's sort of confirmed they'll add new mons.

They announced at E3 that we were getting the game before the end of July. Beta emails went out back in May.

They confirmed they'll add all generations. There's also a dark type medal, but no darks in gen1.
Moves matter as you can't teach new ones and the typing system is fully in place.

Combat Points or something like that, it effects how much damage your pokemon does, instead of the number that it shows for damage, which is stupid.
I hate the battle system, and don't fully understand it yet I guess, next time I visit my gym I'm gonna leave a super weak guy so I can practice doing battle.
So far all my battles have just been

It's literally explained in game.
Tap to use weak attacks. Hold to use strong attacks when the bar is full. The bar doesn't charge when you're attacking. Slide to dodge. Type effectiveness is exactly as you'd expect.
Nothing mind blowing, but it's a neato take on a real time battle system. I kind of wish it was more rhythm based instead of unguided tapping though.
