Alright /vp/, what in your opinion is the best ingame pokedex
HGSS/XY/ORAS

Perfect mix of new and old

BW2 is probably my favorite.
Either BW2 or XY. Really great variety in those.
Is there any legitimate argument for anything other than BW2?

BW2 had the most variety. Platinum's wasn't bad either, including a pretty great mix of Pokemon from all four generations. XY's seems to get a lot of criticism but I never understood why, it's a really nice variety of Pokemon.

HGSS and BW2. Good sized Pokedex without being too large.
If only HGSS took advantage of the dex and improved distribution
Also Johto's Dex has the best UI.
XY dex looks like a calendar

I wish they redo the Pokédex like the evolution based hgss one while combining the location based concept from XY while assigning new numbers and possibly combining Pokémon.
There's no reason to have either Nidoran in a separate slot when they fixed the gender thing two generations ago. Hell don't the lion and the meowstic Pokémon have two different base stats?
There's also no reason to keep the Eeveelutions apart anymore, or keep cross evolution Pokémon apart(I wish there were more cross evos)
