You can get it by making an australian itunes account. just make sure you're logged out of your itunes account. i clicked on a link to the app in the itunes store and was prompted to make a new Apple ID. It doesn't require you to put in any payment info since the game is free, just use a random billing address (australian of course. I used the address of a McDonalds).

I'm not sure about most other android phones, but if you click on it after it's downloaded from your little drop down menu from the top of the screen, it'll prompt you again about it being potentially dangerous to install yadda yadda yadda and then tell you about what the app permissions are.
Then it installs like a normal app would if you downloaded it from the Play Store.

if it's not on your homescreen, take a look in your phone's interal app page (there might be a little 6 dot circle somewhere which usually indicates all of the apps on your phone)
If you still can't find it, go into your settings, look for somewhere where it says "apps" and then see if it's running or installed or all.

It could be you didn't get all the stuff when it downloaded. You can try redownloading maybe.
It might also be that you have to allow app installation from unknown sources. I believe there's a setting somewhere like "imput" or "controls" or something like that. I think Amazon had a guide to it for installing their Amaazon Underground app/their special app store app, you might want to check that out if you can't find where it's at on your phone.
Outside of that you might be boned, but I'm thinking it might be the permissions.

It's possible but I kind of doubt it. That'd be weird to exclude people just because they didn't sign up with a certain account. For all intents and purposes, I think the TC account is simply so they can get more mileage out of it. This is essentially like the Pokemon Bank fiasco. They want to set it up in smaller areas first before releasing it worldwide (or at least to EU/NA) because other countries are much smaller. It's a simple scaling tactic so that the game doesn't get too much stress right out of the gate.

Each time you catch a Pidgey, Pidgeotto or Pidgeot you get 3 Pidgey candies (might be more in some cases, like if you catch Pidgeotto or Pidgeot it's more than 3? I'm not too sure, at least 3)
And then you can transfer your duplicate Pokemon to the professor for more candy but it's specific to the line

If you don't already, you might want to get a "kill apps" ..uh app. There's one that has a little icon of a droid, Advanced Task Killer. I've been using it since my first droid and it kills all the apps running (including shit like background apps, especially those fucking ones that are preinstalled in your phone)
I don't really think you need it any more since it doesn't usually run up a lot of memory on the phone, but it'll kill the app and you can try to login again...but right now the servers are still down so you can't do much anyways.

Catching Pokemon yielded the most, I think you get like 50 EXP when you access a Pokespot. Presumably you'd get more for beating gyms and stuff too.

For me, I was able to interact with it about once every 15 minutes- half hour. Couldn't really tell since I didn't notice I could go back until near the time when servers went down.

I guess probably "Capture Power". Meaning Pokemon with a higher Capture Power are more difficult to capture. I know for instance a fucking oddish was giving me a hard time until I got to the capture screen and saw it was like 80 CP.

If you log out and click to download the app while logged out, the pop'um that asks you to make an account will have the "free" option down the line. Just make up the personal info like name and such, and choose like a random Aussie shop or building for location information

You can get it at Poke spots. I dunno what makes it better or worse but I've run into rare Pokemon with it. Maybe it works better if you also wander around with it on.

That would be buying a Lucky egg from the start. That willdouble the exp you get. So you will get bonus for all the new pokemons you get from minute 0. Also trying to get perfect throwns. Gives you a bonus, that will also double if you have lucky egg with you.
