Brazilian here, i call bullshit. A region based on here could actually be pretty cool, with the northeast being a desert, southeast and south being cities, center being country towns and the northwest and north being jungles. Also pokémon based on brazilian animals would be based.

If you didn't notice, all the regions so far are first-world countries on the real life or related to them (with the obvious execption of Japan because Game Freak is located there): Unova (New York, US), Kalos (France), Alola (Hawaii, an external state of US), Orre (Arizona, US)
By going for this, Brazil has a very low change it will be a region, but my country, DR, will never be a region, so don't miss the hopes.
