I'm looking for a good early-gen pokemon game that is not too difficult for a child.
My wife's son's birthday is next week, and I want to buy him an early gen pokemon game, since he already owns X/Y.
Emerald + my old DS seems good to me, but I've also thought about maybe buying an old GB color with one of the first games.

For real though OP. Get him Fire red or Leaf green. They are the easiest games in the series up until Gen vi started hand holding out the butt.
