I think it'll be more than XY, but not as many as I want. I'd settle for 100 anyway.
Every odd numbered generation has had a high amount, and every even numbered generation has had a low amount.
My only question is, since Gen 6 had the fewest we've ever had, will Gen 7 have the fewest for an odd numbered gen? Or the most to make up for Gen 6?

You make its sound like they were slacking with the number of new pokemon for a few generations at least but no. Kalos has small dex (71) but also introduced the biggest amoun of forms, in this case megas (about 50)
