From what I read, the Sweet one is a maraschino cherry and the Citrus one is an orange jelly. The leaves are chocolate.

Cooking with regards to increasing your stats for anything is bad when you can fuck up. That and the sheen limit were part of the problem of old contests. If this is just a new way to increase friendship/affection then I wouldn't mind it.
