Notice how they're all ghosts, though.
That's the biggest "do" in inanimate object Pokemon - give a reason they're objects.
This doesn't mean I don't like other inanimate object Pokemon, but it does give them more depth.

Vikavolt has wire stripper elements
Wobbuffet looks like those balloon men/punching bag
Magnemite is steel/electric
Exeggcute is grass/psychic
Trubbish is poison
they all work out fine
etc
Klefki is one of my top 3 favorites.

Is it still an inanimate object if it can move?

My favorites! I actually use ghosts thanks to these two.
I think Ghost just works for inanimate objects best. I don't hate the others, but ghosts can explain it away easier I think.

They're eggs. Stop lying to yourself

best Kinds of Pokemon!

If it can move voluntary it's animate.
Robots that can decide how to move are infact animate objects.

To be fair, that might be more because the ghost type is simply hard to design for. We already got generic ghost blobs out of the way in gen 1, and making them just be dead people is obviously a no-no.

found new background for my phone
These guys really grew on me for some reason

Anything that can cripple and half-kill a bunch of legendaries is okay in my book

Robot Pokémon when?

Magnezone, Registeel, and Golurk are all kind of robotic.
Bump.

None of them. Allow me to explain:
Golett and the Regis are golems, and only the first one is man-made.
Magnemite, Klink and the like are merely generated as a result of human activity, not directly created by them.
Zygundam just looks like a robot. It's not artificial in any way.
Porygon is a virtual entity.
Genesect is a cyborg.
The closest thing we have is Magearna, and it's basically a clockwork automaton.
There is no true robot Pokemon yet.
