That's awesome. I wish they gave you a bit more praise or a reward for purifying all the shadow pokemon though. I would argue that it's harder to 100% the orre games (especially colosseum) than catch all 150 in gen 1.

Honestly, I didn't find it that hard. Granted I did my absolute best to make sure I dealt as little damage as possible to Shadow Pokémon, but I don't think it was that hard.

I tend to be impatient with snagging and training in that game so I barely grind. I rarely use bulk mons and in 5 playthroughs I've never trained ralts. It might just be the waiting that I perceive as difficulty.

First playthrough I used ralts and duskull and it was fucking hell until they evolved. They couldn't take a hit or deal damage but Gardevoir became a great special attacker and Dusclops became a giant tank.

See, that's the part that's killer. I was overleveled by that point from grinding on Mt. Battle (that shit's fun), but Lugia's catch rate is so abysmal that snagging it and 6 more shadows, 3 legendaries among them, immediately after was too aggravating to not use a Master Ball. At least Shadow Lugia is a great tank for the battle immediately afterwards.

Slipped my mind. I've never tried it but you might also be able to transfer from emulated GCN pokemon. If you get a gamecube controller adapter for smash 4 that connects to USB it connects to pc fine. If you configured dolphin to detect the gameboy as a controller I don't see why it couldn't interact with a rom.

Seems like a good combo to me. My first ever playthrough was when I was 10 and I ended up only training my eevee which became an espeon and the poochyena you get in the beginning of the game. If they ever fainted, I would switch to one of my 4 backup shadow mons (I couldn't figure out how the purification chamber worked) as a sacrificial lamb to revive and heal until the backup fainted. By the endgame they were overleveled but still couldn't take SE hits very well.
This is how I played all the pokemon games until gen 4...
Colosseum and XD were fun games, M. Night Famalans. They could have had more stuff to do, but I enjoyed them.
I'm pissed that Battle Revolution was just a shit version of Stadium and not a sequel to XD.
