Can someone help me build a VGC team for this year's tournament? The adding of legendaries threw me off and now I'm a noob again.

Kanghaskan M, Salamence M, Primal Groudon, Xerneas, Smeargle and Talonflame is the most basic and simultaneously the team winning the most competitions.

Practice with that team on showdown and get to know the meta. Make adjustments to your spreads, movepool and Pokemon afterwards.

Nope, Primal Groudon is king. And Mega Rayquaza is actually used less often than Mega Salamence.
