I think Bug types take the cake when it comes to best designs, but Ghost types are far from the bottom.
Speaking of, everyone, post their favourite and least favourite Ghost-type designs. Let's make it top three and bottom three, since I know I personally can't pick one single favourite. Prepare for some shit taste on my part though.
Favourite: Mismagius, Rotom, Sableye.

We have a similar top favourites list. Froslass was nearly on the top of my list, as was Pumpkaboo. I have to disagree with you on Golurk though, since I do really like the design. Gengar and Aegislash are just disappointments to me, since I think they came from really, really strong prevolutions (Haunter and Doublade are quite near the top too) but just evolving into either bland (Gengar) or just goofy (Aegislash).

Being rate =/= hated. In fact, the fact they're rare is somthing that is attractive about the type. It's not over-saturated.
Also, I'd rather have a few high quality Ghost designs, than a massive pool of ghosts with no great designs.
So I've been thinking of making a mono-Ghost team. I want to have Mismagius, Chandelure, Aegislash, and Gourgeist because they're my favorite ghosties. Any other ideas for the last two?

You'll need some coverage for your only two weaknesses, Sableye is your best pick, since it can learn fairy abilities to diss dark types, and snarl helps a lot against other ghosts. maybe put in a good mon in the last onelike gengar

Sableye's been suggested and I can only agree with that because of how much I love it, and if you can get one with Prankster then all the better (maybe a little unnecessary if you're going for Mega Sableye though). Golurk might make a good final addition as a hefty, physical powerhouse too, and it's an excuse to have a Pokemon that knows Earthquake, and who doesn't want that?
