I'm an adult in 70k debt from school.
I work 40 hour (minimum) work weeks.
All my colleagues at work worry about either Football or Basketball, work on their fantasy league stuff, but will be repulsed when they find out that I play a game about making a roster of monsters that fight other people's monsters.
I don't even get to play during the weekdays, I have to play on the weekends because I'm way too busy, so I'll never have the practice and experience required to compete in the not-kids division.
Simply put, I'm just too old, and too late to join in without seeming like a weirdo.
Maybe if I had parental support, I would have been able to compete in VGC years ago, but it's just too late for me now.
I don't really like stall teams or using ubers outside of the main game.

Mega Rayquaza is allowed. Usually the banned pokemon are event ones and box legends, but this year they allowed 2 box legends for team. Also they didn't ban Dark Void like they did in Gen V

Mray is terrible. This is the first format with real Ubers allowed, and you're allowed 2 per team. Mega Ray is both below par for a double Mega, and it uses up an Uber slot. MMence and MKanga are both stronger Doubles megas (parental bond + good movepool, intimidate into aerilate hyper voice being the big reasons) without using an Uber slot, so people just use 2 legends + non-legend mega. Generally Primals or Xerneas are your Ubers in this format, with a few of the others seeing play here and there.
