I hate Kanto. I literally cannot finish my Fire Red playthrough because of the map. Everything about is so bland and unappealing. It feels like one of those forced middle school trips to the most boring locations for educational purposes.

That's because it's a complete remake of gen 1. If they ever remake them again hopefully they will actually add new areas and flesh out the game more. As it stands kanto is pretty boring because it's so old.
