I merely translated Popplio's jap page (this one: http://www.pokemon.co.jp/ex/sun_moon/pokemon/partner_03/) and it seems pretty faithful to the international page description wise (except this word that popped up, "luck-pusher" which I found out it's just a alternative way to say frivolous, which is essentially just; person who readily chimes in with others, person who gets carried away easily, silly and not serious). At least, Google translator seems to be doing a fine job, you just have to learn its process and how it handles Japanese sentences.

... I have this strange feeling that the whole frivolous thing is really going to impact Popp's evolution somehow but that may be just me.

Just to say, Litten's (http://www.pokemon.co.jp/ex/sun_moon/pokemon/partner_02/) is also somewhat faithful, but of course, it's not entirely accurate, Google Translator seems to focus more on translating the words themselves rather than putting out a accurately translated sentence.

And that's why it looks like broken Japanese, because the language itself works on a entirely different way than English sentence structure wise.
