I unironically love this guy and he'll be the first Pikaclone I ever use. I would rank them:

Yet I've noticed a lot of people seem to hate this guy. Is it because he's just another in the long line of shitmons designed to sell merchandise?
If Togedemaru was the first Pikaclone, appearing 6 Generations after Pikachu (or 5 if you count Pichu), would he have been received better?

I probably won't use it because pikachu clones tend towards the "horrible even in-game" spectrum, and as an Electric/Steel type it probably won't even have the benefit of decent attacking types and will probably be defensive.
But I actually really love it too. It's definitely my favorite clone, and imo the most creative so far. Dedenne was my favorite previously but as far as I could tell it was basically just Pikachu but done with modern design aspects. It was sort of "Pikachu done right" to me, but it was still "just pikachu". I liked Emolga and Pachirisu for being totally different animals aesthetically that still used the design motifs of a pikachu.
