It will most likely be like pokken. Pokemon will have their mega forms when they go under synchro. Pokemon without Megas still get stat boosts and an aura around them.

I am very certain Mega Evolution could return in Sun & Moon, since it would be illogical for Game Freak to waste all these amazing designs for a one-off generation.

Some Pokémon have benefitted significantly from this game-changing mechanic, and many are in love with it, myself included.

If any Pokémon's going to get Synchro, it could be Popplio, Litten, Rowlet, and Rockruff, judging by the teases from CoroCoro, claiming that they hold a powerful secret.
