Those people don't know what Zygarde is called. They clearly have never played past Gen 1 or 2or even worse, they only watched season 1 of the anime and never touched a game in their life.

Every new Gen is called the worst gen ever and the end of pokemon. It happens every time.
The only pokemon games I have played are FRLG and Emerald. I watched the original anime and collected cards as kid but never got into the games until much later.
I love every single new pokemon design in SM and have loved SM since I saw the first trailer.
The most important thing to me is the design of the pokemon and gen 4 designs didn't do it for me. Gen 5 designs look really good but didn't motivate to get the games. Gen 6 looks about average design wise and didn't excite me.
I'm buying a 3DS solely to play this game.

Criticizing Pokemon doesn't mean you haven't played in 20 years.
Having an opinion that's different than yours doesn't make you right or others wrong. Opinions are thoughts/ideas, not facts.
There are plenty of people, both on here and not, who have played every Gen who like some and dislike other new Pokemon. Not liking every single thing Gamefreak does/has done/will ever do doesn't make you out of the loop or a "genwunner".

Criticizing new designs is always fair of course, but damn if the original 151 were shown off in doses like this after the franchise had been established people would be saying the same shit. To me it sounds like the author just doesn't like Pokemon in general. There's nothing these designs are doing that's crazy different from what you'd ever expect from the franchise. It just seems like an easy recipe for clickbait to hate on whatever is new.
