Why would Dazzle effect protect? Protect does not interact with any other pokemon to trigger Dazzle and it would be absolutely busted if it did. It's safe to assume it only works on priority attacks that somehow target the pokemon with Dazzle (possibly your partner in doubles also but that is reaching).

Dazzle is basically Quick Guard but as a passive ability instead of be something on demand.
If is exactly like Quick Guard, even if the stats of the fish are shit, is going to be of use, blocking Prankster Status moves, Fake Out and the standard priority moves is no joke.
We must wait if it only works to protect the fish, or instead, it protects your side completely.

This got me thinking about something INSANE, if the combining factor plays out:
What if by combining together, all four totem mons' stats combine into a single mon's new stat total? Even if each mon is about 600 BST, that's a BST of over 2400. Meaning then you could have stats like this:

>DEF: 420
>SP. ATK: 420
>SP. DEF: 420
>SPE: 420
All you'd need then is a fitting ability for it, and also likely for it to have a move of each type (Electric, Fire, Flying and Water) for its moveset. And then watch as it becomes death, destroyer of Smogon.
If we assume that there won't be any new terrain moves added this gen we will likely be getting a Grass/Fairy and a pure Fairy type guardians, which leaves a trio master for them with a signature ability that fucks up the rest.

It's mostly how their sprites in BW1 were outright recolors of eachother, they don't do anything interesting lorewise, and they were fresh off the generation with 14 fucking legendaries. They're the third trio in BW, when there didn't even need to be 2.

I might agree on the genies, but bar Keldeo, the Musketeers are great. It's hard enough to incorporate the Musketeers into Pokemon designs without just making them humanesque like Meloetta or Bisharp. But a group of Quadrupedal musketeers is great, the animals are some of the ones we've needed from Pokemon, and Ox horns/Goat antlers being used for swords is brilliant.

Hopefull ySmogon does what it did at the start of Gen6 and bring almost everything but the 670/680 things and a few of the certain to be Uber mons down to OU.
Deoxys, Mega Mawile and maybe even Reshiram would be far better in OU than uber.
