You need a special attacker that doesn't die to a dirt sneeze.
I'd use Hydreigon because fairies are not a threat on Hoenn.

Go for Numel for a Mega and a Fire-type. Also, I suggest grabbing a Spheal when you get that far in.

Mawile's pretty good.
Picking up a Rhyhorn from the Safari Zone could be productive.
Getting a female Snorunt from the Shoal Cave and evolving it into Frosslass is a good plan.

Going back and grabbing a Ralts for a Gardevoir isn't a bad idea.

Hydreigon is a terrible idea, since you MIGHT be able to get a Zweilious by the time you beat the champion. Both Deino and Zweilious are awful.

To get that stone, use Super Training. I forgot which stone Snorunt needs though. I wanna say the Gallade one gives them out.
numel/camerupt is always a solid pokemon, if not torkoal, but never a bad fire type.
Masquerain is bro though, had one and got me through my nuzlocke playthrough, super dependable.
