Pretty sure one of them said it resembled classic in the sense that it was had a color pallet similar to something from the gameboy era, plus he stated it had rounded ears instead of pointed, but I can see how that would be considered vague enough to work.
Do you guys think Pikahog will showcase a new feature like the other Pikaclones sometimes do, or will it be there just for the sake of having one?

Who knows. The main "feature" it seems to advertise now thoguh is using 3D as an aspect of designs though. This design, as it actually functions in game, wasn't really possible before 3D. That is to say, it'd be very hard to represent accurately, like a pokemon with a ton of different colors on GB.
Not that I buy that the pikachu clones are actively meant to advertise new features, or that if i did this was actually the reason. Just an interesting aspect of the design I appreciate.

The regional rodent is most likely Yungoos and it looks nothing like pikachu. Also we had a pikaclone each gen, so saying that one pokemon will slightly ressemble pikachu is like saying that we will have a normal/flying bird.

To be fair Sonic looks like nothing like a hedgehog except it has a mouse face and he has spikes which don't even look like a hedgehog's, more like a porcupine's but even then it's pretty loose.
