So what's this thing based on?
And what does the jp name come from? Bruxish comes from bruxism which is excessive teeth grinding and fish.
The weird flower thing on it's forehead reminds me of an anglerfish and it looks like a third eye too since it's a psychic type.

Either a filefish or a triggerfish. It doesn't really matter that much since they are closely related, and Bruxish's patterns don't really resemble any of the real ones.

Flowers do tend to look like flowers.
Bruxish is probably a reference to bruxism (due to the teeth) and likely bruxa (witch in Portuguese, it's a Psychic-type)+fish

I thought it looked like a Lanturn a bit. Both Lantern and Bruxish remind me of miniature submarines with their antennae as periscopes. Bruxish's color scheme looks like something from the Yellow Submarine.
God, I really REALLY hope it's a standalone. It's flawless the way it is.
