You dont know how its ability works in full, when battling Talonflame. You don't know Talonflame won't be able to use Brave Bird and OHKO it.
In any case, even if Talonflame does end up not being able to use Brave Bird, then the Choice set will just fall out of popularity and people will use different items on it.
That's assuming that Brixfish even has relevant enough stats to be used in OU often enough for people to prepare for it and isn't just trash.
The thing is that sure it can force one specific Talonflame set to swap, but that alone isn't going to dethrone it because Talonflame users can just run different sets if it ever gets popular.

Yes we do know it can do that. Its ability will work like any other, there's not going to be a long list of exceptions to the rule. It blocks priority against it, end of discussion.
The fish has numerous possibilities to drop Talonflame too.
Aqua Jet is a very real possibility, even if it does turn out slow.

It blocked a Quick Attack, which is a priority move. Brave Bird is a normal move being modified by Talonflames ability. We don't know exactly how they will interact or if Brave Bird will be completely negated, or if it will simply be treated as non priority, and Talonflame will go first with it anyway.
Also trying to speculate on potential move that it may be able to learn is just grasping at straws. Until we get confirmation, leave that out of it. All we have is that it blocks priority.
Like I say, even if it does work in the way you describe, and 100% blocks Brave Bird, all it's going to do is make Talonflame users run nonbanded sets more frequently.

No one uses banded talonflame nowadays anyways, so really not much will change at all. Plus Bruxish will probably be a worse answer to Talonflame then already established counters like Rotom-W cause it will be less bulky. Not to mention Talonflame always uses Will-O-Wisp nowadays, which hampers Bruxish if it turns out to be a physical attacker.
Cap This: Bruxish will be a moderately fast offensive mon (at least 75 base speed) with mediocre stats overall. It's best usage will be a niche Choice Scarf user that can't be revenged by Talonflame or Bisharp. But its stats will end up being so mediocre that it won't see much use in OU at all.

Nevermind that Rotom-w exists, and can come in then literally click free momentum the move and be in a good situation. Talonflame still exists and is good in a meta with those, but some fish, with the same typing as slowbro but no regenerator is going to stop Talonflame from being good in OU.
