You can't get comfier than Gen 2 graphics. Whether the original GSC, mock demakes of areas, custom regions, etc., it's just always maximum comfy.

No difficulty, just calming atmosphere. The music in general is softer than in previous gen's. Color Saturation is visibly lighter.
And of course, gen 6 gave us ORAS which has Route 120 which at night becomes the single most comfy spot in the entire franchise

I really really like BW1, the first few routes and Pinwheel forest.
HG/SS and Emerald are objectively the comfiest games
