Why does /vp/ hate Talonflame so much? I always thought it was one of the more solid Pokémon of gen 6.
Because having a flying resist on your team is really hard or something. Fucking Talonflame is oppressing me and he beat up "muh bro" or something stupid like that.

That's what I don't understand.
Talonflame is really good, but it's not overpowered, and there's plenty of ways you can counter it, or even as simple as having any rock type on your team. I don't understand all the hubbub about it being balanced out by another Pokémon. My Porygon2 alone can deal with it just fine.

It's an easy to use revenge killer that's also pretty difficult to manage if you don't have a Pokemon that has a flying or fire resistance. He can also pull of a competent defensive set thanks to WoW and priority healing.
He's not overpowered, but definitely overused.
