As far as I can tell, the guy is rather obsessed with crystals, and has a friend with Marfan syndrome (affects connective tissue, can be really shitty, but is often visible as having long, thin hands). It wouldn't surprise me if they were autistic.
I don't quite understand why they draw people gaining superficial signs of Marfan syndrome from the crystal 'healing', though. They don't seem to specify what they're being healed of, either.
