Man I was about to point out how so many of you were using infernape and none with empoleon and was gonna shout shit taste
But every gen 4 starter is pretty cool actually.
I don't remember the team I had when I was a kid

I beat this guy so fast and my Pokemon were only level 60's. His were 70's... The rest of the week was him trying to find a way to beat me...

Gen 4 is fucking top tier with starters. I always feel bad, because I like Infernape and Empoleon slightly more than Torterra, and thus have never picked it in-game. Might do another Platinum run and use it though.

Wasn't that impressed with any of the new mons so I mostly sticked to mons from previous gens. Eventually evolved Tangela and Aipom but I warmed up to them.
I need to buy Platinum one of these days and see what all the hype is about.
In retrospect Diamond had incredibly slim pickings pre-National Dex, and trying to replay it now is fucking dire.

That seems like a cool team! I usually don't use ledgends now because they are too OP but I am pretty sure everyone does not like to use ledgends. Except the person who you meet with in a random battle who has hacked shiny ledgends...
