Under the hands of Disney, the series might just get a lot more unique changes and twists that Game Freak may not be willing to add.
Plus, the fluid animation movements would really make it feel like home in the animation world, in a way.

I don't know if the disney studio ever personally did any of the animation for the games based on their products. It's no secret, though, that gamefreak are one of the worst in terms of animating models, unless SM can change that. I highly doubt it, there are older games with more shitty graphics than this that are more lively.

Well, for argument's sake, when Pixar started that trend, those movies were decent. Your mileage may vary on the zillions of other 3D animation studios, but they had a few decent ones, too. Whether they were bad or not, most of them were taken fairly seriously. Then again, so were the Disney films before their hand drawn unit was canned. It probably isn't a fair comparison, especially since by now, 3D can do everything that 2D used to do. I believe it's still in their minds that 3D is of higher quality than what 2D had when it was dying. It doesn't take much research to realize how wrong that is.
