If they did do synchro how would they justify not giving it to all final stage pokemon since its about friendship and not about holding rocks and digivolving?

Arc-V's pretty good, but like any long-running shounen it will drag in places. There's a lot of service to older stuff (it's not just wanking the new mechanic all the time like ZeXal and 5Ds were), but if you're one of those "Fusion/Ritual only" nostalgiafags you're going to have a bad time.
Watch the first 7 episodes. If by the end of Episode 7 you're interested, then keep watching. Skip episodes 19-20.

I'll admit that I know jack all about Synchro in the context of the anime, but based on what I've read about it here and a couple other places, they could probably get away with it being like Full Synchro was in the Battle Network games. As in, not an actual physical transformation, but a "state of mind" sort of power up.
It'd honestly be dumb to have yet another set of transformation models (which may or may not even look like your character), especially when you could just design more Megas.
This, do we really need another new form mechanic right after mega evolution. Even its acknowledged as being super close to mega evolution without a stone.
I expect the synchro news to be in August like mega evolutions, that way they can hype it up at the world championships like they did in 2014
