If a Pokémon was obtainable in any way in OR/AS, I caught/bred/evolved one of my own. The unobtainable Pokémon I traded up from my Living Dexes in X (which went to OR) and Y (which went to AS).
All Pokémon have my own OT/ID and are gendered to my liking. They are also all in standard Poké Balls with the exception of Legendary Pokémon (Premier Balls), the mascot Legendary (Master Ball), and event Pokémon.
I have every alternate form(e) with the exceptions of Vivillon (because of my Ball/OT/ID/Gender-tism) and Deoxys.

You can get random evolutionary stones by using the correct move during random encounters in the correct areas of X/Y. Stone pillars in the background of the fights. You can also get berries like this, with berry trees back there.
Also: the GTS has a terrible sorting algorithm. If the results are all unreasonable or insane, just refresh until you get one that is sensible. I ended up traded a shuckle for my dragalgae, when everyone else wanted a reshiram or a Arceus.

The tough part is trading for exclusive legendaries if you don't want to play both versions, and trade evolutions that require held items.

The last time I did that was in Pearl where you could catch what felt like 20 Pokémon on each route. I'm working on it in ORAS and the garbage after game grinding is terrible, it's really hard to get BW 'mons up to the level 60 evolutions.
