For the longest time I've never been able to properly grasp Hidden Power breeding and I wanted to breed a Magnezone/Serperior with HP Fire on them. Specifically for Gen 6 can someone please help me understand it a bit better.

its a chore, but check what IVs you need and slowly try to breed it onto the desired mon
Level said mon until you can correctly calculate the IVs.
Using power items is highly recommended.
Or you could just go to the injection general and request a Ditto with HP fire IVs
