You guys are aware this has been a feature since Fire Red and Leaf Green.....right?

Since when were we freaking out about not having to go all the way to the Pokemon screen to check move functions?
Naw, we're freaking out about THIS MOVE WILL BE EFFECTIVE, THIS MOVE WILL BE SUPER EFFECTIVE
There's convenient, and then there's just plain handholdy.
I do not remember
>>26867773
It super obscure. I think you have to read about its existence on a sign somewhere, and it doesn't work if you have your options set to L=A.
Still, I've used it in the past as a quicker option than going to the summary screen.

>handholdy
You're a retard.
It doesn't even tell you unless you've already used the move on something, so it will still be a surprise if you come across a new mon whose type isn't exactly evident in its design.
Also, seriously? This has been a feature in many other JRPGs for a long time. Pokemon is only now getting on the bandwagon for this. I guess SMT is handholdy too.
>>26868039
Why would you do that to yourself?
>>26868121
Can play one handed

literally the only reason and it is the best reason

But you won't be able to run

HO
LEE
FUCK
Haven't had my mind blown this much since finding out that Mozart is still alive
>>26870542
Since when do you run with L?
>>26870578
You can't run in a Pokemon game one handed because the B button will still be on the other side of the console from the circle pad and the L button with no way to change it.
>>26870627
Oh, that.
I actually use the L=A in my GBA games; my hand's jusy big enough that I use my thumb to hold B and my index finger to move.
