I like gen one, like 6 of my favorite 10 are from RBY, but IMO that is a slightly better Exeggcute. This version just shows that meh tier pokemon ideas will be meh regardless of art style.

I think it's important to note that even though pokemon exist all over the pokemon earth, each new generation is Generally not found very often outside of it's home region. That being said, one can say that these differing artistic style could beblissfully and ignorantlyattributed to the region affecting the evolution and development of the mons, making them seem similar in "style"
